Fashion is gaining importance in every day life. Every individual has his own fashion statement. People want to be fashionable. So they prefer wearing fashionable clothes, accessories, perfumes etc. Promotional wristbands have become one of the main fashionable accessories among teenagers. They can promote various ideas and causes. Promotional wristbands are made up of silicone, vinyl, rubber and plastic. Promotional wristband gained importance when Lance Armstrong foundation started selling yellow wristbands. This wristband created a huge impact to the whole world. Nearly 10 million people purchased yellow bracelets. After that many companies and organizations started selling wristbands so that they can raise money for their cause.
Promotional wristbands are generally available in many colors. If a company wants to promote a product it can print the name of the product and distribute it free to its prospective customers. This wristband can also be used to campaign the brand name of the company. Promoting a brand name or product was mostly done through print or online media. But now promotion of your brand name can be done through wristbands. Distribute free wristbands so that your brand name can be remembered by other people. This is one of the ways of advertising your brand name or product. If you want to create an impact on the wearer so that he can remember your mission or products do pay attention to your color and design. If you are printing a logo on the wristband do use complementary colors. Certain powerful words can also create an impact on the wearer.
One of the main advantages of promotional wristbands is the cost factor; they can fit in anyoneâs budget. Promotional wristbands can also be used in parties, concerts, conventions and festivities. These are reasonably priced. Even Nightclubs use Promotional wristbands to control the crowd. People who organize parties use promotional wristbands to restrict people from drinking who are underage. Promotional wristbands can also be used to honor the achievements of your employees. These wristbands can also be used to promote a new event that is coming up or new product releases.Â
You can distribute promotional wristbands in many different methods. You can leave them on front desk so that customers can take it on their own or in reception areas or distribute it separately to customers. Promotional wristbands can also be used for sports events, Music events, Entertainment venues, Fun parks, Conferences and schools. These type of wristbands are safe, secure, clean, Tamperproof, Waterproof, Sweat proof, Durable, Printed with text etc.
There are three types of promotional wristbands: debossed, embossed and silk printed. Debossed wristbands are opposite to embossed wristbands. In Debossed wristbands, words are engraved and not raised in bracelets. But in case of Embossed wristbands, words are raised and not engraved. Embossed bracelets are opposite of Debossed wristbands. In case of silk printed wristbands, message is not engraved or raised but printed.

Presenting here are the hits, superhits and blockbusters Bollywood movies of 2008, including a brief review. The movies are arranged according to their time of release.
1. Jodhaa Akbar : Released on February 15′ 2008, Jodhaa Akbar, directed by Bollywood most prolific director Ashutosh Gowariker, was a semi hit. It went on to do a business of Rs. 62 crores . Hrithik Roshan was the USP of the film, he played Akbar so well that the historic figure is now synonymous with the actor.
2. Race: Released on March 21′ 2008, Race was the first big hit of 2008. An edge of the seat thriller, the movie directed by Abbas-Mustan was full of twists and turns. As of May 30, it grossed Rs.63,67,00,000 ($14,886,600) in India, and $9,505,321 in other parts bringing a worldwide total of $24,391,921. Race is actually the fifth biggest hit of 2008.
3. Jannat: Jannat, directed by Kunal Deshmukh, was a Mukesh Bhatt film, released on May 16. Based on cricket betting, the movie extracted the career best performance of Emran Hashmi. Debutante Sonal Chauhan made a pretty picture in the movie. Jannat grossed 32,47,00,000 in 5 weeks, quite higher than its cost of production.
4. Aamir: One of the dark horse hits of 2008, Aamir directed by Raj Kumar Gupta released on June 6. The movie starring Rajeev Khandelwal was a story about how an innocent man gets trapped in the hands of religious extremists who want to bomb the city. An interesting premise, the movie did good business.
5. Sarkar Raj: Sarkar Raj, directed by Ram Gopal Verma released on June 6 2008. The movie was a semi-hit; people compared Sarkar Raj to its prequel Sarkar, and found that the sequel was not as effective as the first one. Nevertheless, it grossed 34 crores in India in its first two weeks and over $1 million in the USA.
6. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na: Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, released on July 4 2008; directed by Abbas Tyrewala and produced by Aamir Khan, was the iconic movie of 2008. The movie was a blazing hit and it is still the favorites of the youth segment, which forms a major part of the movie going audience. The youthful movie had a cliched but entertaining story with fantastic music by A.R.Rahman. in 5 weeks, it earned approximately 52.96 crores.
7. Singh is Kinng: Singh is Kinng was a movie, all Akshay Kumar fans were waiting for. Released on August 8, 2008; the movie recorded the biggest advance booking in the history of Bollywood, second only to Ghajini. With a fantastic figure of Rs.44 crores in the first week, Singh is Kinng was the fourth biggest hit of Bollywood 2008. By September, it had already earned Rs.73 crores.
8. Bachna Ae Haseeno: Released on August 15, 2008, Bachna Ae Haseeno proved to be a solace for Yash Raj films which had only given flops before this, in 2008 like Tashan and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. Made on a budget of Rs.18 crores, this Ranbir Kapoor earned Rs.31.20 crores in its second week, and was declared a semi hit.
9. Phoonk: Phoonk directed by Ram Gopal Verma was probably the least expensive movie, which did good business. The movie based on black magic was a success because of the subject.
10. Mumbai Meri Jaan: Mumbai Meri Jaan, released on August 22′ 2008 was a movie based on 7/11 bomb blasts. A slightly documentary style film, it focussed on the repercussions of the bomb blasts. The movie was an an above average hit. The USP of the film was a power packed performance by Paresh Rawal and Irrfan Khan.
11. Rock On!!: Rock On(released August 29′ 2008), directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Farhan Akhtar, was another youth favorite, like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Based on friendship and rock music, Rock On was treated like a sequel to the cult movie Dil Chahta Hai. It made singer-actor-producer-director(phew!) Farhan Akhtar, a household name.
12. A Wednesday: A Wednesday, released on September 5 2008, is the dark horse success of 2008. A powerful script, impeccable dialogues and a unique treatment by director Neeraj Pandey, made this probably the most watchable movie of 2008. Naseerudin Shah proved that he is inimitable when it comes to stellar performance.
13. 1920: A spooky movie directed by Vikram Bhatt(released Sep 12′ 08) was high on horror around a haunted palatial house. Newbies Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma gave a spirited(no pun intended!) performance. The fantastic English locales and visual effects proved to be the USP of the film.
14. Welcome to Sajjanpur: Welcome to Sajjanpur, released on September 19 2008 was director Shyam Benegal’s entry to commercial cinema. The movie shot in rural set-up brought back memories of Malgudy Days and fared well at the box office.
15. Fashion: Fashion directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, gave a push to Priyanka Chopra who went down-slide with four back to back flops in 2008. It appealed to the youth and the upper crust and did good business.
16. Golmaal Returns: Released on the same date as Fashion(October 29′ 2008), Golmaal Returns was a run-away super hit. Though marred by critics, it was declared a huge success by the masses. It surpassed the first day totals of Om Shanti Om, last year, by collecting 22.03 lakhs on day one. This Rohit Shetty venture earned Rs.48 crores in the first week, making it the third biggest hit of 2008.
17. Dostana: Dostana directed by Tarun Mansukhani for Karan Johar released on November 14′ 2008. The story of two men Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, who pretend to be gays, and fall in love with eye-candy Priyanka Chopra made the box office smile. By December 12, it had already earned Rs.80 crores.
18. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi: One of the much awaited movies, the Shahrukh Khan starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, released on December 12′08. Made on a modest budget of Rs.22 crores by Yash Raj standards, Aditya Chopra directed this movie to success. The movie also featured debutante Anushka Sharma. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi earned 7.5 crore net all over India and by day 1, and earned Rs.44.5 crores by week 1. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is the second biggest hit of 2008.
19. Ghajini: The most awaited movie Ghajini, proved to be a record breaking success. The most successful movie of the year and perhaps one of the all time big hits, this Aamir Khan movie directed by A.Murgadoss proved recession cannot beat quality. Released on December 25, 2008, this remake of the Southern movie of the same name is running quite strong, thanks to the Aamir Khan brand power. On Day 1, Ghajini earned Rs.33 crores,(compared to Rs.18 crore of Rab Ne) worldwide, something which is unheard off. Ghajini is all set to pass Rs.100 crores in three weeks, overtaking the lines of previous two years biggies Om Shanti Om(Rs.80 crores) and Dhoom 2(Rs.85 crores).
Conclusion 2008: Ghajini has proved to be a big money spinner for Bollywood. The year 2008 has pooled in 15 percent or Rs.900 crore more than last year. Call it the Pareto Principal, if you will but Rab Ne and Ghajini have added another 20 percent more to the box office collection of movies preceding them. Masala films and movies based on ‘terror issues’ dominated 2008.
So, here is the countdown of the top 5 films of Bollywood 2008:
5. Race
4. Singh is Kinng
3.Golmaal Returns
2. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
1. Ghajini

Shenzhen is a city of over 12 million people located in Guangdong Province, China, directly on the border with the New Territories of Hong Kong.
It’s likely that your travel guide to China does not say much about this city except to dismiss it as industrial and good only for cheap knockoff shopping.
Similarly, if you ask people in Hong Kong about Shenzhen, they will pretend to think it’s still a small town full of knife-wielding thieves and you shouldn’t even consider going there.
Both these impressions couldn’t be further from the truth. Shenzhen’s incredibly fast growth is the reason travel books are out of date, and perhaps Hong Kong people’s snobbishness about the city stems from a certain fear and envy of this shiny wealth center on their doorstep!
Modern day Shenzhen is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city that offers a wide range of cultural and leisure venues for tourists, as well as unrivalled shopping and dining. If you like Hong Kong and Shanghai, you will also love Shenzhen - fast, fashionable, cool, and not a little bit crazy!
If you are clueless about Shenzhen and want a few basic pointers, here are the three most famous city center places to see in one day:
Diwang Building
Diwang building is the tallest skyscraper in Shenzhen, at 69 floors, and the symbol of the city’s super fast success. The building is office space for the city’s most prestigious firms, but you can pay around 120RMB to go to the viewing deck on the 68th floor and look over the whole city center.
Opposite the Diwang building is the new multi-storey shopping center “Mix C” complete with ice rink, cinema, and lots of international style restaurants. Many of the shops in the Mix are Hong Kong style overpriced fashion boutiques, but this does not deter the hordes of window shoppers.
A short distance from Diwang is the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, which you can’t go into, and still within walking distance, a block away and still the same metro station, is the Grand Theater.
Grand Theater
Completely refurbished in 2006, the Da Ju Yuan / Grand Theater in Shenzhen is a great venue for classical music and traditional Chinese music events. Shenzhen has its own Symphony Orchestra (http://www.sso.org.cn/) and with tickets normally between 60 - 300 RMB no one can complain that culture is out of reach in this modern boom city.
Across the road from the Grand Theater is Lychee Park, which is recommended for taking photos on traditional style bridges, taking a pedalo out on the lake, or watching the unnervingly professional ballroom dancing couples practice outdoors.
On the corner of the park is a large billboard with a Picture of Deng Xiao Peng, the “father of Shenzhen”. It was he who came up with the idea of raising Shenzhen / Baoan from a fishing village to a global scale metropolis, and Chinese visitors to Shenzhen wouldn’t want to miss a chance to be pictured in front of the late Chairman.
Citizens’ Center
Shenzhen’s city government decided to relocate the Central Business District west, out of the original city center (Luohu) and into brand new, spaciously planned zones in Futian District. Part of this project is the Shimin Zhongxin / Citizens’ Center: a huge government building with an iconic “bird shape” roof. Not much to do or see inside, but it’s worth taking a taxi around this whole area, especially at night time, to see all the shiny new skyscrapers. The newly developed area around the Citizen’s Center also includes the Children’s Palace amusement center and exemplary New Shenzhen Library. About half a mile south is the New Exhibition Center / Huizhan Zhongxin, which is, in typical Shenzhen style, impressive just because it is huge.
Visiting Shenzhen
If you are in Hong Kong it’s an easy day trip to Shenzhen, crossing the border at Luohu (KCR to Lowu) or Huanggang (Bus to Lok Ma Chau) - both of which are less than an hour from HK Central.
If you are leaving Mainland China e.g. from Guangzhou or from Shanghai through to HK, we hope you’re open minded about Shenzhen to carve out an extra whole day to stop off and explore the city.

The world of touchscreen mobile phones is starting to get exciting, as the biggest brand in the game has waded in with not one, but TWO mobile phones: the svelte Nokia 5800 and the terrifyingly mind-blowing Nokia N97.
Black sheep - touchscreen mobile phones we’d all rather forget
A lot of people are under the incorrect assumption that the Nokia 5800 is the first touchscreen mobile phone Nokia have ever made. It isn’t. The opposite’s true, because there have been several touch-based phones released under the Nokia badge. Beginning at the 7700, the world has seen a couple of Nokia mobile phones that work by touch. They had a relatively big (for the time) touchscreen in common, but the other feature they had in common, unfortunately, was that they were unbearably awful. Just one of those handsets, the 6708, displayed a modicum potential, but it was made exclusively to be sold in China, and thus, it never saw the light of day in the UK. So, we were relegated to handsets that were utter, utter rubbish.
However, these bad memories have now been exorcised by the debut of two new Nokia mobile phones, both of which have touchscreens, and both of which are much, much sexier…
Nokia 5800 - touch it, hear it, feel it
The first phone on the list is a whole new entrant into Nokia’s Xpress family of music mobile phones, the mouth-watering Nokia 5800. This one’s pretty obviously made for music and video; you can tell by the dedicated XpressMedia button that opens a list of links to music, videos, the web, and more. Then, of course, the Nokia 5800 has a 3.2 inch touchscreen, to let you play with those different media content. Basically, the Nokia 5800 was designed to be a teeny portable entertainment centre, and as music phones go, this is just about the prettiest. The Nokia 5800 also has, built-in, a 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA data access and GPS, making it a wonderful all-rounder, on top of being a superb media player. Oh, and it’s got a strap to clip on an imitation guitar pick. That’s pretty cool, that.
Despite all those features, the Nokia 5800 is very definitely a mid-range handset; it isn’t, nor will it ever be, a full-fat top-ender. That job falls to a separate phone…
Nokia N97 - touch it, feel it, LIVE it…
With the Nokia 5800 on track to bring touchscreen mobile phones to the mid-range market, that opens up a great big gap at the very top-endof the product range; well, there IS a touchscreen mobile phone coming soon to fill that gap: the utterly jaw-dropping Nokia N97. This uses the same Symbian S60 Touch interface and packs it inside the frame of a proper, full-on smartphone. Which means it has a massive, 3.5 inch screen, a kick out QWERTY keyboard, and the camera’s been upgraded to 5 megapixels. The Nokia N97 is, in a very definite way, destined to be the new flagship Nseries mobile phone, and it’s genuinely as high-spec as the rumours said, with HSDPA, GPS, digital compass, and integrated Flash, so that you have an internet experience that tops any other mobile phones! Put simply the Nokia N97 is simple incredible. It gleefully relieves itself over other mobile phones and while the Nokia 5800 angles to take over the mid-range, I reckon that the Nokia N97 will completely DOMINATE the world next year!

Anyone who likes touchscreen phones should be excited; the biggest brand in the industry has brought out not one, but TWO mobile phones: the sexy Nokia 5800 and the unbelievably mind-blowing Nokia N97.
Memories best forgotten - Nokia touchscreens in history
Many people are under the incorrect assumption that the Nokia 5800 is the first touchscreen phone to wear the Nokia label. It isn’t. Quite the opposite, in fact, there’s been several touchy-feely phones released under the Nokia name. Beginning with the 7700, we’ve seen a couple of Nokia mobile phones which are controlled by you pressing directly on the screen. They all had reasonably big (for their time) screens, but unfortunately, they shared something else: they were irredeemably rubbish. Just one of those mobile phones, the 6708, displayed a modicum potential, but that was made exclusively to be sold in China, and so, it never saw the light of day in the UK. Unfortunately, that meant that the phones we got were total, utter bobbins.
However, those bad memories have all been exorcised by the launch of a pair of new Nokia mobile phones, both of which have touchscreens, and both of which are much, much nicer…
Nokia 5800 - play that funky music
First on the roster is a completely new member of Nokia’s Xpress family of music mobile phones, the mouth-watering Nokia 5800. This one’s quite obviously built for music and media, as it has a separate XpressMedia touch-key that brings up a list of shortcuts to music, videos, the web, and more. Then, of course, the Nokia 5800 has a 3.2 inch touchscreen, to let you use those different media files. Basically, the Nokia 5800 was created to be a teeny handheld jukebox and movie player, and as music handsets go, this is easily one of the sexiest. The Nokia 5800 also comes with a 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA data connection and GPS, so that it’s a brilliant all-rounder, on top of being a superb media player. Oh, and it’s got a strap to clip on an imitation guitar pick. Pointless, but brilliant.
Despite all those features, the Nokia 5800 is very definitely a mid-range handset; it’s not, nor was it ever meant to be, a full-on top-ender. That position falls to a different handset…
Nokia N97 - super-powered and ready to rock
With the Nokia 5800 on course to deliver touch-based mobile phones to the mid-range market, that leaves a huge, yawning gap at the very top-end, and yes, there IS a touch-based mobile phone on its way to take its place as the top-end powerhouse: the frankly awesome Nokia N97. This takes the same Symbian S60 Touch interface and crams it within the frame of a proper, full-fat smartphone. So it’s got a massive, 3.5 inch screen, a slide out QWERTY keypad, and the camera now weighs in at a meaty 5 megapixels. The Nokia N97 is, as should be glaringly obvious, destined to be the new flagship Nseries mobile phone, and it’s genuinely as powerful as the rumours had us believe, with HSDPA, GPS, digital compass, and built-in Flash, meaning you have an internet experience that tops any other mobile phones! Put it like this: the Nokia N97 is awesome. It easily outdoes other mobile phones and while the Nokia 5800 angles firmly for the mid-range, I’m predicting that the Nokia N97 will utterly DOMINATE the world in 2009!
